Natural Disaster Emotions

Floods of emotions rush over me!

Raging wildfires scorch my cheeks and ears red with endless passion for something new.
Earthquakes: ripping, cracking, shifting; my heart changes with relentless erosion.
Epic Hurricaines threaten to wipe out my past forcing me to start from new.

Just when the storms turn to sunsets flush with pinks and purples
a tornado funnels down from the heavens throwing everything everywhere like a rag doll.

It reminds oneself that life is chaotic
and control is never within reach,
only the comfort knowing that your own life is meaningful
to yourself.

FYI

I must say sorry for the lack of posts lately. As the holidays come around coupled with long work days and just overall lack of energy, I find it difficult to write and post as much as I want and plan to. I will be uploading another beer list shortly and I want to work on a couple more poems. I also might be uploading the beginning of a short story I plan to write. Be on the look out! And as always, I will be posting links to songs I feel I need to share with all of you. Until the next post!
